Security & Privacy

G168 App Designed with Security as the Priority

Data security and user privacy are core values behind every design decision in the g168 app. From the encryption layer protecting all communications to how your account information is stored on your device, every security aspect has been carefully considered by the g168 engineering team.

The g168 app uses 256-bit SSL encryption for all communication between your device and our servers. This means all transmitted data — including login credentials, deposit details, and wagering records — is fully protected from unauthorised third-party access. This encryption standard is the same as that used by Malaysia's major banks.

Additionally, g168 follows a strict no-plaintext password storage policy. All passwords are stored as one-way hashes that cannot be reversed. Even in an unexpected scenario, your password information cannot be read by anyone – including the g168 team itself.

256-bit SSL Encryption

All data is transmitted through the most secure connections – the same standard used by online banking in Malaysia.

Biometric Verification

Login with your fingerprint or Face ID – safer and faster than a password.

Two-Factor Authentication

An extra security layer that sends an OTP code to your phone every time a new login is detected.

Data Privacy Guaranteed

G168 does not share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About the g168 App

Yes, the g168 app is 100% free to download and install. There are no installation fees, monthly subscription charges, or hidden costs to use the app. You simply need to register a g168 account – which is also free – and then make a deposit when you're ready to start playing. Download, install, and explore all the app's features without spending a single cent upfront.

The g168 app is distributed as a direct APK file and not through the Google Play Store. This is standard practice for online gambling platforms, as Google Play's policies do not allow gambling apps to be published in most regions. Enabling "unknown sources" simply allows your device to install APKs from outside the Play Store — it does not affect your system's security. The g168 APK is regularly scanned to ensure it is free from malware and safe to install.

Yes, your g168 account is universal and works across all platforms. Your wallet balance, betting history, VIP status, promotion progress, and all account settings are always synced in real time between the mobile app and web version. You can start on your home computer and pick up where you left off on your phone while on the go – all your data will be exactly the same.

The g168 app is optimised for efficient data usage. For regular Slot Games and Sports Betting, data consumption is very minimal — approximately 5–15MB per hour depending on the game type. For Live Casino with video streaming, data usage is higher at around 200–400MB per hour at standard quality. You can adjust the video quality in the app settings to save data. We recommend using WiFi for extended Live Casino sessions.

When a new version of the g168 app is available, you'll receive a push notification directly in the app. You can also check manually by going to Settings in the app and tapping "Check for Updates". Updates can also be downloaded directly from the g168 download page – simply download the latest APK file and install it over the existing version. All your account data will be fully retained after the update.

Yes, all g168 promotions including the welcome bonus, daily cashback, reload bonus, daily missions, and festive promotions can be fully claimed and used through the mobile app. In fact, app users sometimes get early access to exclusive promotions delivered via push notifications before they are announced on other platforms. This is one of the key advantages of using the g168 app over the standard web version.
